SEPTEMBER FALLS
Seemingly the sun in soft blush sighs
Engages less with now and more with when
Pandering to those who praise it still
Time’s slowly cooling shadows growing thin
Euphoria consumes soft red-tinged leaves
Meandering upon a moonlit breeze
Breakdancing in the shadow of night’s thieves
Ever mindful that the leafless tree still grieves
Remorse however is not nature’s way
For season’s count their time in passing days
Abundance falling prey to sated needs
Lays dormant whether fading rose or weed
Left withering amid it’s curtain call
Soft sunsets adding fire to it all
