SEPTEMBER FALLS

Seemingly the sun in soft blush sighs Engages less with now and more with when Pandering to those who praise it still Time’s slowly cooling shadows growing thin Euphoria consumes soft red-tinged leaves Meandering upon a moonlit breeze Breakdancing in the shadow of night’s thieves Ever mindful that the leafless tree still grieves Remorse however is not nature’s way For season’s count their time in passing days Abundance falling prey to sated needs Lays dormant whether fading rose or weed Left withering amid it’s curtain call Soft sunsets adding fire to it all

This was very lovely, John. I think I was less generous with the few that did not bold the title going downward. Anyway, that breakdancing line was really cool. Congrats on your win.

My favorite season and this is a beautiful poem. Do you know the song "Seasons n the sun" this poem for some reason reminds that song!

You are ridiculous! I might never share a poem again! I'm certainly glad I left my September Falls one in drafts as it appears I wrote it in crayon now. I love this, it's a marvellous skill you have John and you make it appear effortless. Huge joy reading this, it's beautiful
