I had forgotten the term "rabbit ears" and then I remembered the aluminum foil my dad wrapped them in hoping they would work better. Thanks for the memory!

We lived in Zambia for 6 years - I'm an army child so have traveled to England Cyprus and the then Rhodesia. We got color TV immediately in Zambia, in fact years before South Africa did, but as a youngster when we were in England remember the black and white TV - great memories and great poem Line. Blessings, Jennifer. Blessings, Jennifer

Thanks for your lovely message, Jennifer. It's nice that through technology we've all shared some similar experiences.

Line, I loved this stroll down memory lane! I grew up with a B/W Television which my Dad was always standing in front of to adjust those rabbit ears to get a better picture! It wasn't until I went away to college that I realized the Wizard of Oz turns to color when Dorothy lands in Oz! Great write, my friend.

Your delightful poem brought back so many memories dear Line. We too were the first in our street to have a black and white TV, just in time to watch the Queen's coronation and our sitting room was overflowing with neighbours and friends in order to view such an iconic part of history! With kindest thoughts Ann xx

I remember that Coronation of the Queen as Ann did. A black and white TV we sneer at today. The hot shot latest technology sends out quite deadly EMF waves to us, especially if using WI-FI. People don't know the dangers as the profiteering off this plus pharmaceuticals is extremely dangerous then we wonder why we don't feel well. Add cell phones, PCs and iPads. Panagiota xx
