Poetic Paradise

Poetic Paradise

We poets feed fat
In blissful romanticism
Outpouring our emotions
Quilling them with delight
On pages and websites

Bleeding hearts drip on paper
Tears smudge the lines
Romance lights up the hearts
Passions overflowing magically
In every visual or imaginary sight

Ecstasy flows in a poet's heart
That mortals eye as a fool's paradise
Away from facing mundane truths
Ignoring reality during these
Treasured hours of peaceful silence

We have suffered and lost
The world knows not of
Ambitions risen and fallen
Now no qualms no misgivings
Just love flowing in the river of poetry

Balveen, Congratulations on your nice win. Thank you for all the time you took supporting and entering my contest this past year 2015:-) I'm taking, this time, to explain how I really enjoyed every entry. I truly wanted to place every poem, but two with high placements. However, it is a contest and with all the bickering going on about the way we judge our contest. I did not place everyone the way I wanted to in this contest. I do APOLOGIZE. Please don't be upset if you are sharing a placement or did not make the top 10. I feel every poem, should have been placed high. Stop by my latest Blog "Favorite Type of Poem" when you'd like or have time. Celebrate by sharing with us, Your Favorite type of poem. Have A Blessed Year. Love SKAT

Each to his own judgement! Follow your heart, it won't misguide you. How many storms uproot oak trees? There are no rights and wrongs. The time has to be right, Skat. I'm sad you're leaving. Wish the winds are favourable wherever you are. Thanks and blessings! Balveen
