Night-Time

"In the light of day, we are ceaselessly, inadvertently trying to reflect versions of ourselves. And thus, night allures."
                                                                          Quote by poet

Darkness has fallen
The shadows cover me
I can stop my reflections
Within these mild-minutes
Safe are my imperfections
Guarded from the darts they shoot.

Let me rest for tonight
Mend the pseudo-patches
Mere moments not hold their convictions
No intruders, commentators
No speech of deprecation;
I can dress their part
When the light falls again.

i really enjoyed this little reflective piece, and i particularly like the last two lines..(i think a dash after 'patches' and 'moments' would add clarity, and catch the typo on line 6) congrats on your win in my contest! :)

Thank you, Charlotte! I debated for long if I should add a punctuation after patches. Thank you for suggesting and my placement in the contest:)
