Kindness and Fear - the Yakkha Damanaya

I walk to the shrine in a gloomy evening, keeping short, careful steps and watch frescos both old and new. “Yakkha Damanaya at Mahiyangana” The Lord Buddha endures, and the mat with fire on edges away chases devils. The Lord’s kind heart artist has painted in His eyes, on face - and The Lotus. Devils run in fear… eyes open, face wretched. How can an artist paint it in one frame?

I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
