Reflecting on the joy that comes
From listening to the heart, the soul
The One who brings everlasting peace
And a love that reaches through grief
Breathing a caress across the emotions
Whispering comfort to heal and console
Coloring feelings in breathtaking crimson
Hues of passion, inspiration and imagination
All the sensations that bring out strength
That comes from hearing the hope
Sent from the gift of grace and faith
Wondering about the desires of my heart
Those longings that awaken so much passion
Within my thoughts, where I feel certain
I have aroused a strength that lives
To caress my soul with the miracle of a wish
For something greater than myself
A purer and richer peace, freedom from
The darkness that cuts through the thick
Joy I hold inside, my guiding light
The reason I feel so inspired by the sight
Of an emerald forest or a cloudless sky
Beckoning to me from their intimate heights
With the Creator of it all, the God who knows
Our hearts and souls, our best and worst
Who we are when we try to hide
From the intricate design that lives inside
Contemplating the feelings that lead me
Through grief, worry and disillusionment
All the horror that breathes through me
With silent sighs of anguish and heartache
Feelings that flood my heart with misery
Brought about by thoughts of lost hope
The despair that lives to bring about the
Downturn of my lips from their smiling
Which comes along when I’m thriving
With fresh, new thoughts sent down to me
From the Heavenly Father, the answer
To all those doubts and confusions that
Dissuade my dreams and ideas, my vision
The reason I pray for the light to surround
Me – with love that comes down to embrace
My very soul with a caress of faith that shows
Me – grace, guidance and gripping goodness
The answer to every prayer is the thinking
On a love that inspires me to give from my
Heart – every kindness, every hope, everything
That God has blessed me with so abundantly
Just thinking – About the pleasures of peace
The healing of hope – the grace in gratitude
The feeling in faith – the intimacy in inspiration
The blessing in a breath of satisfaction that comes
From love that leaves the thoughts filled with
A breath of beauty which whispers of a love
That is forever, eternal, alive, unconditional
A true and lasting miracle… everlasting love
God’s gift to the giver of the light living within
Love that fills, frees and flows deep inside
Where God is the answer, the guide, the light
The One who gives thoughts their creation
