Intimate Scammers

Is each person who ‘loves’ us an ‘intimate scammer?’ A lover’s “I love you,” ‘deception’ or ‘feeling,’ a ‘kiss’ that we’ve practiced from date of conception, our trials for what works, what doesn’t, to get our needs met, damn the cost? If I see a child drowning and dive in to save them (though I’m not a swimmer), am I more a lover or fool? Does Christ’s death on the cross more suggest He’s a dreamer? Did selfishness live there? “There’s no love that’s greater than this, that you lay down your life for another!” Denial’s a valid response, but I hope you’ll look deeper! What’s lost is its context, for Christ too, requests that we grok gem of wisdom, “Show Mercy, not Sacrifice” - Grace is GOD’s rule! Does it say love’s not yours should love (off and on) scam you, should confidence shatter, suggest you’re worth nothing at all? You think scammers all know that their scams are in action, believe their desires are what others should want (when they’re not)? But the servants of Trump (we know) honor what God wills if ‘God’ understands this or not. Great wealth proves Trump is just! Do I scam you with poetry meant just to argue, spread hate if you listen? I knock on your door, hope you’ll call! May my software career in past years give some traction, that logic required, does suggest that I live blessed with thought. And I love those I love, don’t hide losses in landfills! This ‘intimate scammer’ has faith that good friendships don’t rust! Brian Johnston 7th of July in 2020
