He Didn'T Go To Sea
He didn't go to sea
But she waited
Like a fool
Home fires burning
He returned
Warmed by the fire
Kept her behind him
In the shadows
No warmth for her
She saw his silhouette
Lit by the fires of others
No warmth for her
He would turn and smile
No invitation into his arms
Then in a spin she was behind him again
This woman is no fool
She lit the fire
Her love kept it burning
With one push he would be gone
Refuelling the flames that she had fanned
She would then feel the warmth on her face
Again
