The famous ‘Samson and the Lion’ statue was created by Cristoforo Stati, an Italian sculptor, between 1604 and 16072. This sculpture depicts the biblical hero Samson prying open the jaws of a lion, showcasing Stati's skill in capturing dynamic movement and muscular detail.

The feline is oft honoured in lands, It struts like an Egyptian in sands. The fastest in town, It won't keep pills down As I take my own life in my hands.

Yes, they were worshipped, and many fine statues have survived. I've got the battle scars to prove it - my cats had a six sense when their pills were due ... lol

Lol ... Yes. My cat will only take its pill if I mash it in with chicken liver pate - it has expensive tastes. Thanks for the read and kind comment on my Limerick, Paula. :)
