Free Will


God is always teaching me
It is whether I pay attention
Open doors, closed doors, either way
Things are shown with genuine reason,
so I can live, learn, give and love
I'm given emotions for growth,
tears, happiness, joy, even anger with strength
to pursue what is authentic to my soul
Time may never be what I expect it to be
Patience is required to reach my destiny
There is always change, always new beginnings,
even when it seems as though I am trapped
God knows, God listens, God guides me
It is my choice how I act upon my free will
