Forty-Three Boxes of Captain Crunch

If I could get back the dollars I've spent I'd be an extremely rich man Buying stuff just because it's on sale Then storing it is not a good plan Got eighty-three of cans of vegetable soup Forty-three boxes of Captain Crunch Even if I lived to a hundred and twenty We'll still have breakfast and lunch Some people have a rainy day mentality You never know what's just ahead But more than six hundred boxes of KD Could keep a damn army fed Now I'm all for spending money wisely But this concept blows my mind Can't eat all the food that we've got stored But the mice think I'm very kind © Jack Ellison 2013

I knew a person that was like this. She's very old and has that "great depression" mentality so she stores EVERYTHING. She literally has frozen pizzas from the 60s and milk that's been frozen (which is probably years passed it's due date). She's very kind, but I become extremely worried when she offers us something to eat... EXTREMELY!

I'm sure the mice just LOVE you my friend! You are so very kind to them because you keep bringing them on sale items that you'll never get to eat! Awesome Jack, plain awesome! Nothing like keeping the mice community up and running! You are so kind! This is a splendid write! I really enjoyed reading this awesome poem this afternoon! What a funny and entertaining piece it really was! Great Work!!

The solution to that is 2 kids about 20 years old, a Hubby, his Trolls, and a Dragon that's beginning to look a bit pudgy... Yes, I was talking about you... Silly Dragon... Oh no! He's headed to put that plump butt of his on my favorite couch... He'll probably sulk all day!... Stop that... It's my turn (to sulk that is)... LOL

I remember those days when our household consisted of five kids and two adults. Guess I'm living in the past and buying groceries like I used to! LOL xoxox
