‘Forever Royals”
When depression beats you down where you feel you can never win
When your mind thinks of sleeping peacefully without ever seeing the sunlight
I want us to think of things that remind us of the survivors who beat the odds
Think of the Royals, that’s right, the team who have beaten every odd
Who are these Royals that the world speaks of as the winners chose to lose?
They are a collection of men who fight day in and day out to achieve success
Like depression that brings you to the brink of ending your life forever
Like you, picked to be dead last, in a world full of unbelievers in your ability to survive
When the thoughts of eternal life without a beating heart to keep you breathing
Where day after day bullies beat you down into a life of confinement and darkness
As nothing seems to matter for you feel like no one ever notices you’re even alive
Believe in your heart, your mind, and your soul as the Royals believed in themselves
As the chosen to lose their daily battles on the diamond of dreams
Picked to be forgotten about as the team whose fluked season ended in game seven
Stand up and be the mighty, beautiful, intelligent, successful human being that you are
Win the greatest fight to prove the world wrong, just be forever Royals
