Emily a Rose Mr
This poem is written in tribute to
Emily Dickinson 1830-1886
Each petal dropped softly
on paper of white
Though day through the
window
It oft seemed twilight
The precious rose
blossomed
She heard a fly buzz
In her microcosm
Past her dreams of
A love that once was
Tears dropped on her pillow
which moistened her cheeks
From hopes now she hid there
For days then......for weeks...
Fleeting months stretched
To years. Petal by Petal
Fell, each one to endear
The precious rose grew
Yet hidden from eyes
Petals were hidden
Amid quiet sighs
Did ever she feel
To be in a bog?
Claiming her
self being no
public frog?
Nobody
There
Nobody
Knew
Nobody
Cared
Are you Nobody too?
The Rose inside my heart,
Her Sweet petals impart
She Arose From her place
Of Emily's Glass Vase

Some of the lines in my poem are in reference to Emily's poems.
Referenced poems By Emily Dickinson are
I heard a Fly buzz and I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Though Emily has become a most beloved poetess, her poems
were found after her death. It has been surmised that she had
withdrawn after suffering a broken heart, and rarely left her
home. I find it amazing that she thought that she was nobody,
as we all know, she was indeed somebody, so very special that
generations hold her beautiful poems (I refer to her poems as
petals) close to our hearts. As to Emily herself, I see her as a
beautiful rose, in her home, the vase; a vase of clear glass, for
she could see so much from her enclosed life. Contemplating
the smallest things which are miraculous enough in themselves.
My tribute is small, but my admiration is unequivocally vast for
the beautiful poetess Emily Dickinson.
