Embrace The Summer Love
Summer brings bright colors to our lives
before she turns to autumn browns.
Too quickly her long days go drifting by;
so gather all her sunshine...
embrace the summer love.
Our summer days bring special joy
with great outdoors, we are most free
to share in nature's wondrous gifts;
each flower, velvet grass, and tree.
Summertime bestows
sunshine and warm days on us;
so soon they are gone.
But memories spark our dreams
to warm us through winter nights.

Tanka - 5 lines, 5/7/5/7/7 syllables, unrhymed.
