There was a dumb dude from LeMains Who would sit on the tracks of trains. One day while there he got stuck And by a speeding train was struck. His body showed no evidence of brains.

Thank you, David. Please know that I "hear" you. Effective humor must have at least a grain of truth. I fear that sometimes I have violated that principle. I appreciate your observation.

Jan, it's time for me to stop dwelling on the macabre and write a happy limerick. How soon can I do that? Ah, ooh, possibly in a month (kidding, of course). Right now I'm starting to think "happy, happy, happy." What, I wonder, will come of it? Only the shadow knows.
