Cornered

Those trifecta edges
impressed upon
her supple skin
self inflicted abrasion
as she clamours for escape
those thudded steps
of one once loved
but fear has now replaced
His shadow loom
his growling boom
bring tears that crown
her face
The corners point
her prison bars
that offer no escape
