Karen, there is a lot here. There's a cost with everything--even the things we work hard to achieve. I'm much more for rehabilitation than punishment, but our society has a long way to go in that department. I also understand how difficult it is to be an honorable and unbiased police officer who has compassion. It's tough in a society where those characteristics are not as prominent as we might like.

Thats sad, sigh. Thieves, they have so many reasons to steal, i wish there was another way to solve problems without killing. Life.. sigh. Felt this one! Always a pleasure reading your poems

A car thief was chased by policeman and crashed the stolen car dying due to the wreck and his own greed in one story. In another police kill woman and her son in their van by crashing into them while chasing a motorcycle who just had bad tags. My writer’s block brain recalled an older story of various circumstances and created said poem Thanks for your interest
