Complimentary

So stubborn we disagree frequently
leading to the hard question ‘Why bother?’
Pressing forward is not always easy,
it takes so much work to stay together.

Red roses express love yet possess thorns,
they’re complimentary but not the same.
A storm slowly brewing his side eye warns,
passionate in love and war I’m not tame.

In relationships where we learn and grow,
you do not always see things eye to eye.
Opening up to what you do not know
can sometimes inspire you again to try.

Every argument we smile and settle,
love blooms like a rose petal by petal.
