Action Figures 

They could not call them dolls.
	Because they were afraid of little boys’ reactions to the word doll.
So Mattel named their boy dolls 
             ACTION 
            FIGURES

	Gave them swords, guns, capes, boots.
It was a billion dollar idea,
	Almost as good as Barbie.
		Maybe better.

Still got my action men from over fifty years ago, happy days, in the US he was known as GI Joe.

Yes, Tom, um. That one might date you a bit. There have been thousands since then, but tens of hundreds of thousands of Barbies.
