A Powerful Gift
I was born with this powerful gift
It disarms felons and gangsters alike
I've been known to calm a giant sized tift
And make a killer get off of his bike
I've taken guns from a neighborhood gang
And clapped handcuffs on a thousand thieves
Collected weapons that will never go "bang"
And stopped a crime before the widow grieves
This special power was given to me
To nurture now and forever after
It is crime fighting at its best, you see -
I have the gift of infectious laughter
It seems that my gift starts from a slight grin
And grows as it spreads to those in hearing
Soon laughter is heard as a happy din
With danger and fear soon disappearing.
Criminals and thugs will laugh 'til they weep
The power of this gift is just that strong
The tears they shed seem to come from down deep
Laughter and crime don't mix for very long
Policemen smile at my Super Power
And pat me on the back at the day's end
"He's better than Superman hour for hour -
Bad guys all quit at the message he'll send!"
