Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required RUNAWAY Mama’s too stern with her little despot. She’s firm that she must make it on her own. All the anguish that she can boycott. Opening the bottom drawer, her sobs like a drone. She packs her little suitcase, as curious, mama looks on. Every inch is filled with only what this young one needs. An independent mind must hit the road, awake the sun. Suitcase steps out the door, down steep driveway, see where it leads. But like mankind, lifting its voice to a higher God, she pleads, “I don’t want to go!” for she finds the road daunting, her arms stretched above. Indeed, the revelation, she’s leaving behind a mama she needs! Mama hugs, and empties the stuffed animal filled suitcase, with love. 2/26/2018
