Imagine Us There, Lily
Imagine us there... in the yonder snowy forests, I sent you the picture. Had stopped my scooter today morning Travelling to work On the foggy forlorn road. Imagine us In the deep snow, hunting A dare, a fox ,or a fowl. You don't know, my great-grandpa had been a famous snow-hunter. Many a wintery night Grandpa narrated scary adventures Of his dead (tall, long haired, broad chested fearless) father; Often in first person, and at times in third person. "Once, we hunted a hairy, grown big lion. It was a snowy early morning, he was sleeping in his den: I threw at him a few pebbles from some distance, Hiding behind a rock. The lion woke up ,stretched his long body and sturdy limbs; Dusted his big head, Walked outside and jumped across the frozen brook but I heard a cracking sound and saw a flash Struck his body And ah! How the hefty unnerving creature-- fell like a bow had hit a bird in its fly!" Addressed to Lily Swarn
