They wanted to get the best of me those people But I'm doing just fine A friend said you should write a story about that, it could only happen to you, Well I never really thought of that maybe that would do. After all, who could have gone through all of that And became even a better person it sometimes makes me grin, To have recovered like that over and over again, Sometimes you think it's all over, yet you never realize what's right in front of you, That's what life is like at times, so what do you do? I used to be in agony of extremes, thinking it will never change. But then again, sometimes life is real strange, Seems all this time I thought I was so isolated and that it can only happen to me, But maybe this story could be my destiny. At least to think that way would make me feel better and maybe make people smile. Oh how I'm lucky to be here to talk about it for a while.
