Yes, the Wicked Monster Was An Abusive Man: a Collaboration
She was lost and cried all night, heart broken and sad Old wounds ached from countless jagged scars and flaws It was an evil monster, abusive and powerfully bad From its sadistic, tormenting ways, never did it pause How had she become completely blinded by its charm Raspy whispers in the night promised love's all She ignored red warning flags, sounding the alarm and seeing only her prince, refused to heed the call Wrapped in the monster's arms she began to weep Praying desperately for a savior to give release soon Alas! She was tormented during her deepest sleep and awakened in the blood of a dark crimson moon It walked in human form, a beast amid mankind Admired by a sightless world, quite a famous man Nothing more hideous than this beast, could one find Observing delight in her pain was its solitary plan Taking her own life haunted her thoughts as of late Without a redeemer there was not much else to do No longer could she stand the torment and the hate, nor struggling through life always feeling sad and blue If staying awake would keep him from her bedroom, she pledged to remain steadfast and be deprived of shutting her eyes, or face another night of doom Weariness won out and once more the fiend arrived Her mind fogged from lethargy and long held fatigue No longer did she wish to end the misery with her death If she could think clearly to make a plan of intrigue it would end his nocturnal visits and take his last breath While in the garden an idea blossomed in her head A plan budded that would save her from the beast but it required her to be in a position she would dread one upon which the cruel villain would desire to feast She saw a spider had built a web near the garden gate and had captured a fly who was struggling to flee If she were to tempt the beast as a juicy morsel of bait alas, she could end his life and then she could break free That night she pretended to be asleep, deep in dreams the fluttering glow of candlelight exposed her soft flesh Through a window she perceived shadowed moonbeams and was at the ready to capture her nemesis and enmesh She'd rigged a web of brambles and sharpened the thorns and dropped it upon the head of the brute as he knelt It screamed in anger and pain when entangled was its horns With cunning smile, she pulled a hunting knife from her belt Written in tandem with Robert Lindley.
