The Golden Chord
"The Golden Chord" I have stories caterwauling to be told, I will caste them out there no matter how bold. They will not drown, they’ll survive soaked to the bone, transfigured transporting they’re magic for the one who sits absent on her Royal Throne. Some are parked on a shelf covered in dust Some are pushing up daisies 6ft under, stamped, Blood Red and Purple bruised Imperial sealed buried, they will never rust. Who cares if that sounds crazy comment not a question - I don’t need classroom scoring nor unwarranted suggestions. Something “Just” - for her undivided attention. Break the Bread Crust sip of Truth and Justice wins Divine Body, Sacrament of a fearless Woman’s mind her everlasting firmament; It’s now or never - write right or bust out divine. The pearls are in My Oceans where the clam shells keep ‘em safe spitting out dirt from the garden trampling Banshee and Insectivores’ Jabberwocky crushing tsunami wake I do not live in a Yurt I live in Free Verse Place morphing between higher and lower dimensions there’s my place of worship, there’s my Rome - THIS is called my HOME, where I wear my Amour pulling sword from stone. Spinning like a Whirling Dervish in another Universe, kind of way out in space, left-field, alert, not bound tight dancing across a panoptic stage full of brightest white page LIGHT. This for the absent girl Queen, remember The Golden Chord hear the Song of Bees somewhere in the middle there hangs The Key. I will always guard it keep it safe between You and Me. No matter how long it takes The Golden Chord will never break. It remains unravelled. Unravel. To pull back in. (Lovejoy-Burton/2017 Dec) Ref. 1. (Kate Bush, “Under the Ivy”) 2. “Rome is not outside me, but inside me. Her feverish sweetness, her tragic countryside, her own beauty and harmony, all these are mine for my thought and my work.” Amedeo Modigliani 3.“I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” Charlotte Bronte, Jayne Eyre 4.“Don't be satisfied with stories of how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.” Jalaluddin Mevlana Rumi 5. Amour - c.1300, "love," from Old French amour. 6. Armour - Armour (British English) or armor (American English) is a protective covering that is used to prevent damage from being inflicted to an object, individual or vehicle by direct contact weapons or projectiles, usually during combat, or from damage caused by a potentially dangerous environment or activity.
