The Proof Is In the Pudding 1
The weather was fine today so I decide to go outside and play I didn't have a plan but I was consistent with the weather man I stepped out of the house and walked down the empty street to absorb fresh air and free my mind of the burdensome cares But despite this effort my spirit took me on a long journey elsewhere I walked along the sidewalk and sip tea from my big blue cup and push my bicycle beside me to keep my company while listening carefully to the sounds that roams mystically around I walked along Chain bridge road and continue my journey on courthouse road I heard there was a park filled with big shark So I embraced myself to face my curiosity I have been wanting to go on this road for weeks But I had to wait until the Spirit speaks Today a compulsive power forced me to ride down courthouse road Expensive cars drove up and down the busy streets and garbage trucks were rumbles around with terrible sounds I have not seen so many garbage trucks in one day Today was Santa clean up day men hanging on the side of garbage trucks enjoying the secret ride I stumbled upon a broken red light at the intersection And something tells me that circummstances was not right Suddenly the street comes alive and cars started to run and hide Body language speaks and the cars language spoke very loud They drive with a certain rhythm so you could tell that they are running or hiding something The truth was staring at me and I continue to hide it any longer You knew truth from the first day before I start singing and pray but you kept going around in circles hoping for a miracle trying to prove what you already know to sustain the television show I continued my journey along road courthouse road and something significant caught my attention A moose lodge perhaps founded in eighteen fifty six stood at the corner bringing back memories that transpired in eighteen century James Buchanan won the general election And the great train wreck transpired between Camp Hill and Fort Washington It was interesting to know all about this historical eclips Big naked giant trees standing tall without a peck of leaves Big trees sprouted in the air looking lonely, depressed and bare No breeze, no sound, just nakedness flirting all around Winter is very cruel it sucks the life out of nature and whips up a distasteful flavor I stood in the destitute park observing the trees and woman came along with a friendly dog in her hand The dog walked around and smells my foot trying to see if it could trust me It wags its tale and jumped around then poo on the ground and starts to frown I asked the woman about her dog breed but she could not say for certain I began to wonder if she was the rightful dog owner or just the dog walker she wasn't even sure of the color but the dog was black and brown for sure The woman yawned as if she was hungry or perhaps she has just woken up The traffic piled up all over the street and I could feel my anxious heart beat I walked through the battered park but nothing was there to appease my curious heart The empty park stood up in front of me sucking up my energy as it seeks for clarity I continued my journey on courthouse road trying to find the audacious end But when I reached the intersection the fire truck kept driving around disrupting the town with its loud and terrible sound, but there was no fire They wanted to make themselves known and intimidate people with the blazing sound I came across a seven day Adventist church as I journeyed along courthouse road I have not seen a church like this in ages and something resurface to the stages I had no room to absorb its meaning so I continue my journey and forget about it From the top of the hill many cars could not keep still they were running away from something The law and order lights were flashing in the square everyone was out in full gear --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Continued in next Poem.(The proof is in the Pudding 2)
