What Is a Missus Without Her Mister
Oh St. Nick For you I have a wish Something big and shiny Please don’t make it tiny Make sure it’s the perfect fit Or I’ll surely have a fit I had one before But at that time I didn’t know what I was in for When I saw it in the store It just made me want it more Of course it was gold With diamonds galore With this ring to put on my finger I’ll surely be his Missus and him my Mister In the late of the night before, while the spring moaned And oh it wasn’t the only thing that moaned I was shivering but not from the cold Beau left me after To ponder about my life after On Christmas Eve I was a bride to be But a bride to be was all I would be You would think I was happy but all I could do was frown There I was standing in my beautiful gown Up the aisle I went Beau seated on the right and groom standing to the left Both looked their best Yesterday was the true test Beau is who I wanted so the groom I left I know I’ve been naughty To the groom I should have been true The beau and the groom the two made a deadly brew But with the groom all I was, was blue For he always made me black and blue So a beau I found in lieu Some say I was a trickster Cause what’s a Missus without her Mister But beau was my real happily ever after After you have read this I hope you’ll understand That life with the Mister just wasn’t in the plan Plans for tomorrow I’ll always have with the beau But plans with the Mister will always go askew So the ring please Santa, that’s all I am asking in this letter I’ve written to you December 11, 2017
