Alice, Alice, Are You There
Though the looking glass she saw A reflection near the door She turned her head to take a look Then felt she had been mistook She looked back and saw again The same reflection near the chair It was now closer and her brain Began to register despair As her gaze was drawn to it She watched it moving ever near She felt her unease rise a bit And change from unease into fear Looking back into the room She saw nothing that could explain So with a sense of utter doom Glanced at the looking glass again Behind her shoulder now there stood A figure staring at her face It's form was ghastly dripping blood Her heart was pounding at a race And as in every dream she had This demon was a perfect match A nightmare would drive her mad But daytime means he's off his patch Taunted by demons every night Made to feel that dreams aren't good Nights of terror fear and fright Maybe he thought she understood Keep the darkness for the night Daytime flashbacks are enough In the night time there's just fright In the day time there's real stuff So the looking glass was broke And the daytime turned to fear And she knew it was no joke Went to bed each night in tear And the demons came and went And she fought them good and sure But the nightmares wont relent So she gives them true and and pure So the looking glass was broke And the demon went away She was quiet never spoke About the strangeness of that day Carries on and doesn't look At a mirror any more For her sanity he took Looking through that glass mirror
