I Know How You Feel
I know how you feel Is a phrase used to often One that I hate to hear Because you don't know how I feel And you never will You might have some understanding And you might be able to relate But until you've been in my shoes Been through exactly what I have You have no understanding of what I do Have you lived through the torment Of a relationship abused? Chop a limb from the family tree? Had that crack of a gavel change your life? Spilled your soul to a complete stranger? Sat around with cops and explained your life? Had your very own social worker? No? Then please don't tell me "I know how you feel" Because until you've been in my shoes Seen all the things I have And dealt with them too You'll never know how I feel So please don't tell me you do
