Theater of Utter Charm Part 2
of terminally opinionated snake charmers for art's sake of course well what else could define our course of action when the end of unknowing is only a mouse click away when we'd still rather quack like a sinking duck and bark like a toothless dog whose manic instinct for chasing jack rabbits ears flopping above the tall grass ran the needles off the meters again and anyhow who can you trust we're all agents of a foreign power and their armies of economic interventionists big trade in embalming fluid these days the currency and futures pickpockets burrow into their cozy rat warrens wintering over under the ice while above a calamitous spectacle a ceaseless clandestine War in Heaven my interrogator shouted into my face you think we have no brains can't assemble the puzzle pieces won't see past the taboo curtain can't entertain what is not apparent you couldn't pull a wagon I shouted back wincing at the implications of my predicament he puzzled on this for many moments continuing that exercise to this very day unable to win the battle between content and context unable to even mildly transcend his enslavement to ideology while remaining punctual as a Nebraska church bell unable to determine if my ideas were nothing more than blind myth I was issued a fresh suit of bandages then wheeled to the loading zone located at the imaginary end of a particularly long day no one was waiting and why should there be anyone to gaze upon his beastly loveliness bent from a fall off a windy rock Hermaphrodite's operatic play pal the decomposing Emperor of the Badlands clamoring for his head on a baking dish yet he miraculously escapes over and over knowing that miracle is what gives him life where from innuendo to ornament Houdini's ghost guides his footsteps knowing that the periphery is covered by their radar scopes and sentry dogs bobbing and weaving charmingly behind a fondness for superficiality to a hopelessly beneficial degree once again knowing with creeping certainty that they can't tell when the song ended or when the curtain on the last era closed in a labyrinth of assumption confusing perception with reaction while coming up with a bad plan filling in the blanks being more dangerous than a hurricane of deceit and dishonor Unsure if thinking differently made him into a new species or just another stewed pigeon the black cowled interrogators find this line of inquiry quizzical and confer upon a new choice of instrument (to be continued)
