Bleeding Trees
The snow falls red Amidst Novembers smoking breeze Memories pass as bleeding trees Soldiers, heroes, all who fell Amidst the broiling troubled shells Their broken limbs And punctured skins Scream fear into the winter meadows Eternally marching through the shadows Men who once stood now on their knees Bleeding midst Novembers trees.... Red snow falls down....down, down Down through the trees...trees, trees Trees bleed through leaves... leaves, leaves Leaves bleed, leaves bleed... bleed, bleed The snow falls hard Blood rains through leaves that bleed and fall Forever staining one and all Soldiers, heroes, all who cried As at men's own hands they died Their twisted forms All lay forlorn As lovers weep and mothers scream To see them now they can but dream Men who once stood proud and tall Bleeding through Novembers fall...... The soldier's blood runs through the trees The men that fell down to their knees Then laid their heads upon the ground The snow falls hard but makes no sound Red snow falls down....down, down Down through the trees...trees, trees Trees bleed through leaves... leaves, leaves Leaves bleed, leaves bleed... bleed, bleed
