Wrapped In Silence
On my perfect day- I would sleep in very late, enjoy snuggling deep into my pillow and soft sheets; just lay listening to the purring of my two cats, and the birds singing a sweet melody outside. In time, I would rise and make a cup of hot tea, wander within my home for a bit- looking at things; wrapped in silence, utter silence like a thick cloak, perhaps write a poem. I would go for a walk, pondering my life; perhaps, I would stop at the bookstore and wander, or maybe the second hand store and find a treasure. Then, I would make my way home again in total bliss. To classical music, I would make healthy food, then read a book. On my perfect day- I would do whatever I want, there would be no rush, no do this, or do that ever; I would just wander light as a summer cloud, perhaps, organizing my books and music somehow. I would look at my momentos kept in a box, go through my many old photograph albums; shed a tear at a long lost beautiful memory, oh, beatific my mood. Enfolded in my shroud, of deep serenity; perhaps, I would do yoga and meditate this existence, I would push sad and past memories away, saying STOP; and take my mind to a meadow where lavender sways, that is my perfect day. _________________________ November 25, 2017 Poetry/Free Verse/Wrapped In Silence Copyright Protected, ID 17-9660-58-0 All Rights Reserved.
