Holes In My Jeans
I passed a poor man With holes in his jeans By the looks of him he'd spent Most of his life in need I said excuse me sir Can I get you anything He said son I got it all Cause I believe You see the holes in these jeans I've earned On bended knees They're not from work alone They're also from my pleas This life that I live is not what I chose But fate as a whole Is much less known So I see them as lessons in life These holes in my jeans What you see on the outside Isn't what lies within And it's time that this crazy old world Knows that He's paid for our sins Your money means nothing to me Cause I'm already saved And The little bit that I own Is more than I'll take to my grave You see the holes in these jeans I've earned On bended knees They're not from work alone They're mostly from my pleas This life that I live is not what I chose But fate as a whole Is much less known So I see them as lessons in life These holes in my jeans Sir I thank you for your concern But I'll be just fine These jeans helped redeem me And meet the divine They're ripped and they're torn Just be forewarned He paid for it all with a crown of thorns I won't judge you if you say no to These holes in my jeans I'm still living above my means With these holes in my jeans
