Weep Again
Gaze at all the heavens' hues and weep again, As a choked gasp rips and tears the tear-soaked sky; Be still, my soul, till only heaven knows when. At the fogged up window of my little den, Where sad morning has once again found me, I Gaze at all the heavens' hues and weep again. Ill at ease with light, I put paper to pen. Is this the page on which I finally die? Be still, my soul, till only heaven knows when. Scurrying about, I see small mice and men, Who could fly if they wished, but never did try; Gaze at all the heavens' hues and weep again. On paper I soar like a cock or a hen, Then fall flat on the page and silently cry. Be still, my soul, till only heaven knows when. I've aimed for the stars that are chased by wise men, But alas they elude a fool's eye, so I Gaze at all the heavens' hues and weep again. Be still, my soul, till only heaven knows when.
