But time went on you turned out to be merely ordinary. I know no one is ordinary and that were all extraordinary... But what I thought was sparks in the air, turned to dust as soon as it appeared. I wanted to be wanted. To be seen as more than the surface displayed. I placed all my hopes on you. Hopes to be loved and hopes to be happy. Expectations that you nor any other could ever meet. A fantasy I knew you could never be. But I wanted and needed you so badly to be the savior of my story. I kept my eyes closed to the reality that I already was my savior. Now as I sit here in the dark with these empty thoughts. I think of you and I thank you.
