Musings and Ramblings:Corridor of Uncertainty
Longer version: I’m stuck inside a loop that doesn’t seem to stop My ambitions somehow got ahead of me and I got lost on this path. In my race to stay on top. The choices that I made then, I wasn’t prepared for the aftermath of burned bridges that stop just short of where I need to go. I can feel the ever growing rapids of uncertainty continue to grow. They threaten my semi-safe haven. I can hear the shrill call of the ever present raven. Calling from the other side of the dream I’m begging to come true. I just need to find a perfect spot that will allow me to pass through. The corridors of uncertainty are closing in rapidly on me. Claustrophobic, I walk these halls everyday. I’m very much in limbo in every way. I’m too old to be a student, but I don’t have that sacred paper sheet. Just to get to this point was no small feat. I taste the bitterness of missed chances every time I sit in the room Watching someone else fulfill my dream as I settle into a darkening gloom. I’m frustrated, angsty and discontent, ambition drives me onto a path that’s bent. I sold my soul to a demon unbeknownst to me Thing aren’t always as they appear to be. Now I pay a price; a penance Waiting for my turn, my chance. The corridors of uncertainty are a tough place to stride. Somehow I must smile and hold up my head with pride. Sometimes what we we want is just on the other side, Of the corridor of uncertainty. So I will hold my breath and steel my spine. Quietly lumbering towards the dream that will soon be mine.
