Corridors of Uncertainty
I’m stuck inside these corridors that never seem to stop; broken dreams and missed chances litter the way. My ambitions long ago got ahead of me. In my race to stay on top in any way; I wasn’t prepared for the burned bridges to stop short of where I need to be. Somehow I ended up on this meandering path; gone astray. The choices I made; willing to sell my soul to a demon unbeknownst to me. I wasn’t prepared for the aftermath or the price I would have to pay. My choices led me to these narrow halls, now I walk the corridors of uncertainty. Claustrophobic; in my safe haven, I walk these halls everyday. I’m very much in limbo; hoping someone will hear my mournful pleas. Petulant and resentful of chances lost, I’m reminded every day. As I watch others fulfill my dream, I’m desperately searching for a key. That will unlock the door and send me on my way I’m stuck in the corridors of uncertainty. Somehow I must find another path; another way; To lead me from the corridors of uncertainty.
