My skin was drenched from all the rain, I shivered in the cold; It seemed no one could hear me there in that storm now so bold. My cry grew fainter by the hour and soon my voice was gone; The night seemed it would never end nor greet the coming dawn. But Jesus heard my weakened voice above the stormy sky; He came into the wind and rain and soon I felt Him nigh. And then His voice said, “Peace, be still”; the wind and storm obeyed, For He had heard my desperate voice when unto Him I prayed. Yes, Jesus heard me cry that day when in my storm of sin; I asked in faith there to be saved and there He took me in. So now through all the storms of life I have one with me there Who hears me when I cry aloud in faith to Him in prayer.
