Restoring Justified Designs
In restorative justice programs, victims of trauma establish facilitated goals for healing. Victims are our first clients of solidarity. But, our clients work on actively responding to punishing loss, to violence, violations of what could be, and should have been, peace. Peace and justice supported by the client's community, neighbors, friends, family, justice and peace therapeutic systems, positive faith communities and naturally sacred environments, organic nutritional relationships. In each of these relationships between restoring justice mentors and distressed victims, offenders, and environments of peace and justice nurturing support, we also describe normative therapeutic relationships found within Permaculture Design. Permaculture clients feel victimized by pathological changes, issues in homes and properties, farms and gardens, stinky lakes and eroding shorelines, looking for remedies to help restore right relationships with these climate and landscape offenses. Ugly views and smells and sounds and lack of flavor and unbalanced nutrition, disproportionate shade and light, toxic subclimates, poisonous weeds and blighting neighbors, diseased trees and unproductive flowers. And, like restorative justice, communities surround and contribute to both clients and offenders, and, thereby, are capable of empathizing with both, and are needed to resolve causes and effects of environmental trauma, to actively respond to therapeutic needs of suffering clients. In co-witnessing solidarity, we discern how we might together restore polycultural outcome goals through cooperative implementation plans, with least competitive Win-Lose effort, to improve Win-Win nutritional designs of and by and for and with traumatized clients longing to no longer know themselves as merely victims of increasingly violent and toxic and distressed climates and landscapes Internal ego climates and external economic-ecological landscapes with improving multicultural celebration potential together, away from punishing monocultural distresses Toxically competitive Win-Lose strategies suboptimize Win-Win intent and commitment of both Restorative Justice Advocates and Permacultural Designers, witnessing in solidarity with clients feeling like victims of society's desecrating sins past. Our cooperative business plans emerge from this same therapeutic desire to become both producers and consumers of deep and wide nutritional and nurturing restoration of meaning, of healthy sustainability, of resonant regenerativity, of polyphonically wide aesthetics, and yet deeply polycultural ethics of multi-paradigmatic polypaths Living and speaking restorative ecojustice in ego peace with profoundly interdependent Win-Win ecosystems notnot Zero-Sum Prime BiLateral Relationships, Breathing in trusted Yang to breathe out justifying YinYin, wu-wei Tipping Points from PermaCultural Design through ReStoring EcoJustice Original Intent toward Paradise UnCovered to sacred humane producers and consumers of ecological peace phylogeny outside with ecopolitical health homology inside. Restorative Justice is therapy for inside voices while Permaculture Design has been ecotherapy for outside voices. But all these voices express shared multicultural language for healing past punishments and losses, where Win-Win Paradise invites gratitude for cooperative therapeutic hands.
