Life has come to a standstill A fork in the road with a piercing stop sign So you don't pass You don't move on You stay still Frozen Like fear has consumed you Like you’re chained down Like you can’t move Because they told you to Because you don't know anything else Because you learned You’re useless You’ll f*** it up again You’re the reason why So you stay still Petrified Like a deer in headlight Like a rat caught by the tail Like a fish on a hook Because it its lot late now Because you can't escape Because you’re wasting breathe Your hope is gone You see the end You’ve lost So you stay still Anchored Like a tree to the ground Like a shipwreck on the ocean floor Like an iron bolt forced into concrete Because you're rooted down Because you're decaying Because you don’t have a choice You never really did though You could never have helped You were lied to You stay still Because it's what you've always done Because it causes the damage Because it's your new tactic You stay quiet Not a peep Still and quiet Like you don't exist Because not existing is the best you can do Because you stay out of the way now Because you hope they don't notice you You stay still You stay quiet You stay out of the f***ing way
