The Judge Who Loved Hadidahs
The prosecutor looked sternly said "Again I ask you sir, what did you.... My puzzled face must have looked like guilt The magistrate leaning forward grave Mumbled something about a court of law Your Honour- in my bestest English said- I am afflicted with tinnitus and rawcus birds on the roof are offending my constitution I am not at liberty to explain... "You have something against the hadidah son? I love hadidahs ,they help me think!" Sir I... Youre guilty and fined thirty rand and another hundred for contempt of bird- I heard The cicadas were going mad And the flock flew off laughing Ha ha ha ha-de-dah How can a mere ticket lead to this? The judge got up for tea Throwing out crumbs To a gang of carniverous fowl Why cant they just go tweet -tweet- tweet?
