A phone call away, don't hesitate if something's wrong. When you stat at a friend's, I'll be just across town. I’ll be in the front row on the day you graduate, Watching with tearing eyes and feeling so proud. I know college is next, but I wish it could wait. I may not be ready to send you off with the crowd. When you’re finished with school and have your degree, There will be nothing in the world that you can’t do. You’ll start a life of your own and may not need me, But you will always have a father who loves you. Someday, you’ll find the perfect man for you to marry And I will accept him as my son for the rest of my life. I’ll be by your side down the aisle, so don’t you worry. I know you’ll be nervous, but you’ll be a wonderful wife. When you have children of your own and need a hand, I want you to know that I will be there right away.
