In Search For Heaven
I put my legs in heaven so to tour For seven seconds they stood very still Sky never accepted nor I stuck here I thought myself too mad , and all too will. Drawn and dupe of the thought I thought near noon, Fear for shame, jeer from "a one" who saw me, Made me look for wild or the sort , for soon; To talk to myself and even to HE. The hot noon gusts played on my idiot face, The warm sun was too kind and spoilt side scenes, As I walked with half-closed eyes - straight in haste, To reach the wild , with wild for those wild means. Noon for seven , seven for heaven. The dusk duties and thirsts dragged my heart home. On my way back , the Stars threatened that Sun, The birds dared not enjoy the blue unbound. Yonder, a heaven lay before my heart! My yard! Star lit! Mild breezed! Dewed rug! Safe hailed! All weights are gone: for all lusts will depart, In that lounge where I set my journeys sail.
