Blue Lavalamp
Beauty within, I can feel it without touching I know you're near, I can see without looking You sit on the table and stare at me as I write Thank you blue lavalamp for being there for me in the night Why am I writing about a blue lavalamp?, why not? Over 1000 poems wrote, but I think about rhymes lost I'm back to writing after some time off The blue lavalamp gave me inspiration, now I can't switch my mind off I hope it stays with me Come through the ugliness, but stay pretty Get lost inside the maze with me If we shoot for the stars, come on the stage with me You give me hope for a better tomorrow, but I'm not sure why I thought you were pretty before, but even more Tonight I felt like giving up, but now I'm fighting back When I looked at you, you gave me my love for writing back You sit there unable to say a word You inspired me to sit at the table to create a verse Instead of looking out of the window, wondering what's going on through the city I got inspired to write again by the lavalamp that was blue and pretty
