What Child Is This
WHAT CHILD IS THIS? Born on St. Patrick's Day, in '43 Joined the Air Force in '63 To give service to my country And help keep America free Retired from the Air Force in '83 Started work at the local VA Caring for America's Vets Who helped pave freedom's way No greater satisfaction have I known Than to care for these brave men Although they now are dead and gone They all became my friend I'm honored to have provided care To brave men no longer alive Knowing I may soon be there Since I'm approaching seventy-five I'll have memories to forever last Of men who helped make us free And saluted the flag each time it passed And would never bend the knee Who is this child I'm referring to Who helped make freedom ring Allow me to introduce to you Myself, a child of The King Curtis Moorman 10 October 2017
