A Man and a Woman Who Live On a Hill
She went to a small village to escape hell She heard stories about a man living on a hill No one has seen him in ages he became a legend Darkness surrounded his name so it wasn't mentioned Some people said he was half man half animal Others were convinced he was a cannibal They told her what ever you do don't go to his house Young, and curious that's what she did Hours later she reached her destination and wondered if it was too late to hide under her bed See in the dark night his house was terrifying She kept a brave face, but inside she was dying She knocked on the door minutes later he opened She stood still for a moment He was a normal man no horns or a tail Looked handsome. If a bit frail He invited her inside. She decided to risk it They chatted, laughed, and had tea, and biscuit She asked why are you isolated? He said I have serious trust issues The more he talked the more she related she said please take me with you Years later the people of the village told tourists stories about a man, and a woman who live on a hill No one knew anything about them. Except that they were creatures from hell (This poem is included in my book "Inside the Heart of a Lonely King" available now on amazon. Check it out ;) )
