Two Fireflys and a White Moth
Something prolific pulled me from my bed It dragged me through the battered door and land me on the main road I wasn't dreaming or sleep walking I wasn't having an outer body experience I was literally walking on the road after midnight I thought I was asleep but I was wide awake struggling to get a nap for that's all I've got As I ventured outdoors midnight came alive And the devils start driving upon and down Lee road on London town My heart was beating and my temperature suddenly increased With my flashlight in front of me and the holy spirit guiding me I disappeared into the dark because I felt something calling me I walked down the main road to appease my tired soul And kept wondering what I have with these legend of old I wander off into the dark into the bushy park And sat on a rock near the stream in the dark and stared at the water in front of me I drowned out the sound of the Devil's truck that was roaming up and down the town And at last I was able to focus on my internal sound I listened to the water gushing from the rocks And whisper a silent prayer to my invisible master A strange feeling came over me and I couldn't pray I left that spot and sat on the overpass bridge I felt a troubling feeling within so I stared blindly in the dark and one green tree near the bridge stared back at me and I was reminded that God was with me The stars were barely visible and the crescent moon buried itself beneath the anxious sky none of the planet was discernible from obnoxious earth Just the blue and white clouds forcing its light in the dark My curiosity got bigger and bigger about the healthy green tree close to the bridge I looked at it for a while and wondered why it appeared in-front of my big eyes I continued on the track through the thick black night on a familiar road that I have already known The tranquil night breathe its breath upon me and suddenly the cantankerous and murmuring trees that have been ridiculing me starts loving me The still dark night with its fruity smell embraces me and sends out a sweet aroma perfuming the atmosphere and something profound came in contact with me in the dark on the side of the road a bright little light glanced at me telling me that the Savior was protecting me I shone my flash to get a better view of it And I saw a dainty firefly wriggling in the bush I smiled at it and hurried along the track and another firefly illuminate it's lights on me further along the track Again I bend down and looked at it curled up in the grass There was no light around except for the little beam glowing from my flashlight And with much delight a white moth sprang out of the dark and land on my shoulder then it flew away Everything happen so quickly in a very strange way I can still remember one late evening when I reached that same spot A deer appeared from no where and suddenly disappeared And so it was Two fireflys and a little white moth elevates me to the hill top.
