The Aftermath
As the winds begin to roar and the heavens darken we can but give way to nature and find shelter in one of man's many creations. Although such creations are little more than a few meager sticks to the upcoming storm no other refuge can be found less we burrow beneath the earth and nestle next to the lowly creatures that reside there. As the rains continue and water washes away all signs of man's existence driven by winds that torture the trees and send the greatest of man's accomplishments flying through the air like mere feathers we can but bow to the fury that is nature and hope that the lesson provided this day does not go unheeded. We may scar the Earth with unbridled contempt but her resilience and power will long prevail after the bones of man have all since turned to dust.
