Friend of the Fair Weather
When there is sunshine on your shoulder, it is easy, oh so easy. When spring is in the air and the lambs are out frolicking, it is easy, oh so easy. When the scent from the daffodils is tickling your nose, it is easy, oh so easy. When you are sipping champagne in the field with your lover, it is easy, oh so easy. When you feel you are at one with nature, it is easy, oh so easy. When you can lie on your back in the sun and contemplate the progress of the fluffy little clouds, it is easy, oh so easy. When there is only beauty and thoughts as pure as the air around you, it is easy, oh so easy, Not to see the storm clouds in the distance or to hear the first rustling in the trees. Will you then still be as one with nature? Will your mood mimic the approaching storm? Will you excuse yourself from further work? Will you be keeping your children out of puddles? Will your fear of catching a chill make you ill? Will you be putting your walking shoes away in the cupboard? Will your petrol bill now hit the roof? Or will I find you just singing in the rain?
