Why Did It Have To End
The following poem is fictional And does not depict any real persons Or events; please enjoy responsibly. As I walked out my front door I ran into an old friend who was Crying When I asked him why those teardrops filled his eyes He looked at me and said I thought I had the greatest Love that had ever been but I found out this morning That she wants it to end I stood there watching my friend sob Not knowing what to say I felt a sudden urge to turn And walk away I ignored the urge and stayed Right there with my broken hearted Friend I said please don't let this Lost love turn your heart To stone it's true love is Wonderful but so is time alone We talked for a while longer And both went on our way On my way back home tonight I ran into an old friend who Was crying I asked her why those teardrops Filled her eyes She said I thought I had the Greatest love that had ever been Until I woke up this morning And told him it had to end
